Break through the "blocking point" to fill the "break point"

The resumption of production in the manufacturing sector bears on economic and social stability. To meet the needs of enterprises in terms of employment, capital and supply of raw materials, relevant government departments have taken precise measures to break through the "blocking points" and fill in the "breakpoints", so as to promote the full resumption of "made in China" production as soon as possible.

We will focus on key industries and release production capacity. The impact of the epidemic is phased and controllable

How has the outbreak affected China's industrial operations? Data show that in the first two months, the added value of industries above the designated size fell by 13.5 percent year-on-year, the profit fell by 38.3 percent year-on-year, and the loss of enterprises reached 36.4 percent. Among the 41 major industrial sectors, 30 saw double-digit declines in industrial added value, and small and medium-sized enterprises and labor-intensive industries were particularly affected by the impact.

With the resumption of work and production across the country in an orderly manner, China's industrial economy has shown a steady recovery. By March 28, the average operating rate of industrial enterprises above designated size and the rate of resuming employment had reached 98.6 percent and 89.9 percent, respectively, 15.5 and 38 percentage points higher than those on February 23, and 3.6 and 22 percentage points higher than those on March 1.
